Understanding the life cycle of the sea turtles that are using the sandy beaches for a nesting ground. Monitoring these sites is essential to avoid the negative impacts of coastal development. Three hours online of workshop training with videos will allow the trainees to practice as teamwork how to collect the data as they were in the real nesting area. The participants will achieve quick quizzes and the final exam.
The participants will learn the standardized methods with different data sheets to assess the following topics:
Collecting data on the beach.
Sea Turtles for Emergencies.
Sea Turtle Nests.
Sea Turtle Hatching.
Tagging and Tracking.
Two more hours of training may take place on our marine eco expedition FREE of charge OR simulation on a coastal sandy beach in Marsa Alam, Red Sea. The participants will enroll in some surveys and get a certificate of participation in the marine survey and a statement with credit hours.
